Ocwen on the Hot Seat — Again

“Ocwen has repeatedly made mistakes and taken shortcuts at every stage of the mortgage servicing process, costing some consumers money and others their homes,” CFPB Director said in a statement.

[Editor’s Note: When will the agencies address the elephant in the living room: Ocwen is not making mistakes. It is making facts that don’t exist in the real world. Why? Because Ocwen is just one player in a very large scheme constructed to create the illusion that the debt exists in the hands of those who are seeking to collect, process and enforce it. It doesn’t. ]

  1. Ocwen is covering for big players — that our government bailed out. It is an absolute mess. Question is — why didn’t the government investigate Ocwen and its’ predecessors, PRIOR to the bail out?. They would have seen the RECORDs are all bogus.

    Thanks for this.

  3. Ocwen is my worst nightmare. Been dealing with them for a decade plus. In Federal Court, with a stay they transferred assets, including my “debt” to PHH, saying they transferred servicing only. Upon investigation they transferred assets completely to PHH, not servicing. The judge asked their lawyer if Ocwen still had the note, he replied yes and that is a lie. The assets were moved under a stay, for the second time. Last I checked this is a no-no…I am now receiving threats, invoices, etc…from a place called NewRez, the servicer for PHH, not Ocwen has vanished. Very troubling behavior.
