Rasmussen: Homeowners Still Show Little Confidence In Short-Term Housing Market

Thursday, November 18, 2010

Homeowners continue to have little short-term confidence in the U.S. housing market but are much more confident about the picture five years down the road. The findings on both questions remain in the ballpark of where they’ve been for well over a year.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that only 20% of homeowners believe the value of their home will go up in the next year. Twenty-four percent (24%) expect the value to go down, but that’s an eight-point drop from last month, which had been the most pessimistic finding to date. Most (53%) think their home’s value will stay about the same.

A month ago, 21% expected their house’s value to go up, while 45% said it would remain about the same.

Still, the new findings are little changed from those at the first of the year.

  1. I hate telephone surveys, but “this peasant” would let them know I’ve ALREADY joined the revolution.

  2. I am not confident in taking those poll numbers to heart. If you think your home will not go down in value, you don’t know what you’re talking about. All real estate in the US whether it be commercial or residentiall is going down in value. Even property in Manhattan is going down in value. Wake up! The empire is falling, and Wall Street and mega banks are the primary reason. http://www.challengingforeclosure.com Sirak@challengingforeclosure.com

  3. What is the meaning of these numbers? Who cares what peasants think about their homes? Do they have any educated reasons to believe what they believe?

The only use of this type of info is to track if your peasants will revolt in the near future (or if they are getting any closer to something like it) and to brainwash the same peasants into thinking all is hunky dory…

  4. This just goes to show, that this is what the Z occupying our government thinks of us. They think of us as statistics, soon I’m sure they’ll be calculating death statistics as they embark on the next phase of world domination: Population Reduction.

WE CAN STAND BY DIVIDED AND DO NOTHING, OR WE CAN FORGE TOGETHER AND CHANGE EVERYTHING.

THE CHOICE IS UP TO YOU, BUT YOU CAN’T EXPECT ANYTHING TO GET BETTER BY DOING NOTHING.
