Poetry From a Lawyer Who Gets It

Disappearin’ Ink

Stephen Brunette, Esq.

Johnny lost his house today.  There’s lots o’ reasons why,

but Johnny’s worked hard all his life, always done me right.

Johnny loves his country, likes a good clean fight,

but Johnny’s been blindsided and won’t be goin’ home tonight.

Seems some numbers on some papers wrote in disappearin’ ink

by money changers in the temples of Wall Street,

and some puppet politicians brought Johnny to the brink

of losin’ his American Dream.

But pretty numbers on fine paper wrote in disappearin’ ink

don’t put food in Johnnie’s babies’ mouths or shoes on babies’ feet,

don’t keep Johnny’s babies warm when they’re livin’ on the street.

Numbers.  In disappearin’ ink.  Hmm.

Got a good friend, a stockbroker, she didn’t make this mess.

She played by rules made by fools and got stuck like all the rest.

If she and me and Johnny are gonna take this country back,

we’ll bail out our dreams, but we’re done bailin’ out greedy fool ass.

No more numbers on fine paper wrote in disappearin’ ink

by greedy money changers in the temples of Wall Street,

no more puppet politicians gonna take me to the brink

of losin’ my American dream.

Maybe I’ve been livin’ beyond my means too long,

maybe the world is more needy, more greedy, that it was when I was born,

but what’s left of my American Dream is too deep, too strong

to let a few greedy fools who went to play money school get me down too long.

I know nothin’ bout derivatives.  I work for all I get.

Give me a level playing field and let me do my best.

May take a while, but this American child was born to build from scratch.

My God, my friends, my family, got my back.

Maybe I’ve been livin’ beyond my means too long,

maybe the world is more needy, more greedy, that it was when I was born,

but my dream for the world is so deep, so strong,

we’re gonna save this world, boys & girls, & we’ll be better off from now on . .

without pretty numbers on fine paper wrote in disappearin’ ink

by money changers of the temples of Wall Street,

without puppet politicians who took us to the brink

            of losin’ the American dream.

Pretty numbers on fine paper wrote in disappearin’ ink

don’t put food in hungry babies’ mouths or shoes on babies’ feet,

don’t let me rest easy when I’m tryin’ to get some sleep

so I can wake up to a new American Dream.

  3. Today, we had a Pretender Lender, kneel down and start negotiating, The lawyer drafted the pleading for an injunction last night and this morning the court in DC , stopped the foreclosure, the pretender lender is reeling back fast. They are offering up to $30,000 for the keys , just to avoid litigation. Guys hit them hard!. The borrower is going for the kill, though and the lawyer Wilfredo Pesante from Pesante & Mackin is happy to oblige.

The pretender lender who has been on a toxic asset purchasing binge, called back 30 minutes later, offering a 40% discount of the loan amount. The saga continues.

The borrower is going for an action to quiet title.

Guys, hire a good attorney, get him or her to Mr. Garfields seminar, get a good Mortgage audit and fight for your dreams, hopes and future.
